Normally, the host will be expecting you, let you in, and give you an orientation to the Studio. Alternatively, the keys will be on the lock so you can check yourselves in.

Very important: Once the door closes, it requires a key to open from the outside. Never leave the keys on the lock INSIDE while you are outside. If the door closes with the keys on the inside lock, it won't open from the outside even with a spare key, and we'll have to break the window to get in!

The Persephone Studio is thoroughly cleaned prior to the guests' arrival, according to the Airbnb enhanced cleaning standards.
We normally do not provide any additional cleaning services, unless specifically requested by guests. In case of a prolonged stay, say, 5 nights or more, we usually provide a change of linen for all guests and optionally, sweeping the floor, detailing the bathroom and taking out the trash.
There is a one-time, €35 cleaning fee charged per reservation.
We also provide to all guests information on sightseeing on the island of Milos, best beaches, and favorite restaurants. Free maps can be obtained at several locations throughout the island.

At the Persephone Studio, you get broadband internet access via pocket WiFi. Our routers connect to a 4G Mobile Data Network and have been tested to achieve approximately 9Mbps/download, 3-4Mbps/upload. Access is limited to a few Gigabytes during your stay. Customarily, during the high season, data consumption is unlimited.

Sometimes, the router goes to sleep and disconnects from the network. You may reset it by pressing the power on button for 3-4 seconds and then releasing.

Behind the door there is an electrical dashboard. There there is a switch for the electric water heater, clearly labeled. You may flick the switch to turn it on (the blue light goes on) for 10-12 minutes, then turn it off before taking a shower. You may not even need to turn the water heater on during the hot summer days, as the pipes that carry water are usually very hot during the day.
We generally use mineral bottled water for drinking and cooking in Milos. Tap water can safely be used in the short term for washing vegetables, cookware, and of course, oral hygiene and showering.
Bottled water is under government price control. Expect to pay exactly €0.5 for a small bottle (0.5L) or €1.00 for a large (1.5L) bottle in stores, bars, and restaurants. Much better discounts can be had when purchasing 6-packs of bottled water at the supermarket. All brands are good, but we recommend Zagori or Samaria brand mineral water.
Warning: Practically ALL bottled water sold is mineral water, collected from springs on the mountains of Crete or mainland Greece. It doesn't get any better than that. However, there are brands (usually the supermarket's private label) that are PLAIN bottled water, even though the label is misleading, as it features images of snow-capped mountains. Do not buy plain bottled water! It tastes awful, and the price difference is infinitesimally small. Always buy MINERAL bottled water.
Mineral bottled water from our recommended favorite brands is always provided at the Persephone Studio, to get you started, waiting for you in the fridge upon arrival.
To make a reservation directly through us, a 25% deposit is required, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival date. To send your downpayment (usually 25% of the total amount), or pay off your balance, please use this PayPal link format:

There is a €25 charge for one extra guest per night, over and above the usual two guests. One infant of up to one year old may stay for free, and a baby cot will be provided at no extra charge. No discounts offered for occupancy of only one guest.
We reserve the right to also charge a refundable security fee, usually €200 - €300. Assuming there is no damage to the Studio or items missing after the guest checks out, the security deposit will be refunded within 48 hours.

Direct Reservations
You have 48 hours after booking, that is, after we receive your deposit, to change your mind, for a 100% refund.
Beyond the first 48 hours, and up to 30 days prior to arrival, cancelling your reservation incurs a 25% penalty (We would withhold your deposit).
If cancellation takes place 30 or fewer days and up to a week prior to arrival, cancelling your reservation incurs a 50% penalty.
If your reservation is cancelled 7 or fewer days prior to arrival, no refunds will be issued.
There are normally no exceptions to the above rules, but we might consider issuing full or partial refund in case of extenuating circumstances. These include worldwide events, such as war affecting your country of origin, or a pandemic. Personal reasons, i.e., death in the family, etc., do not qualify for refunds, and will not be considered as exceptions.
Any refunds will be issued using the exact method used for sending us the funds in the first place, that is, via PayPal, and to the same, originating account. No exceptions. We will not issue refunds any other way, including but not limited to, cash, cheque, credit or debit cards, deposit in bank accounts, cryptocurrency, or remittance via Western Union or other money handlers.

Very Important! Guests are required to provide identification prior to checking in. Actual, good quality, readable image(s) are required. Simply texting us your name and passport number is NOT acceptable. Providing cropped, or otherwise altered images of your passport is also NOT acceptable. Guests will NOT be admitted without having supplied acceptable, valid forms of ID in advance of checking in.
Acceptable forms of identification include valid passport, or, for EU citizens, official, government-issued identification, such as National Identification Card or passport.
The guest making the reservation needs to be 18 or older, needs to be present at check-in and be one of the occupants for the duration of their stay at the Persephone.

There are no streets or roads on any side of the Persephone Studio. That's part of what makes it a quiet, privileged location. There is, however, free street parking all around the town of Adamas.
To park your vehicle, you may park either on the upper street level, and then walk down a few stairs to the Persephone, or at the lower street level, and then walk up a few stairs to the Studio. You may also find street parking just west of the main ferry pier. There is usually more street parking spots available at the upper street level. Parking may be tight in the high season, that is, in August, especially if you try to park after sundown.

No pets of any kind are allowed inside the Studio or the outside terrace. That being said, we love animals, especially felines. There are lots of cats in the neighborhood, and we expect guests to treat them with love, like we do.
Ours is a quiet neighborhood, and we intend to keep it this way. Guests are expected to do their part, being quiet and considerate during their stay. No parties or loud noises, please.
Covid Test Information
We do not discriminate based on vaccination status. All are welcome.
That being said, guests will probably be subject to the laws and regulations of both their country of origin regarding passengers of departing/arriving flights, as well as the laws and regulations of the state of Greece at the time.
For example, you may have to provide proof of vaccination or results of a negative PCR test about 48 hours prior to embarking on boats or boarding airplanes.
Some countries may require their citizens to provide proof of a negative PCR test 48 prior to re-entering the country. In Milos, you may make an appointment to get a PCR test at:
